Seamless search and retrieval
One of the most significant benefits
of the Cobweb Email Journal service is the ability to quickly and
securely search through all emails and attachments within the
Journal Store.
The search is powered by Autonomy IDOL server,
providing fast response times when querying across large stores of
email. The IDOL service indexes
messages and message attachments such as Microsoft Office Word
documents, and at the point of archival the language of emails is
automatically detected to optimise their indexing. Using the EAS
Outlook plug-in, a single click is all that is required to
seamlessly search and retrieve the original email from the Journal
Store.
Storage
The Cobweb Email Journal service has
unlimited storage available, and storage is automatically allocated
to ensure that the service is not interrupted. This additional
storage is added in 1GB blocks and will be added to your monthly
invoice.
Journal security
The delivery of the Cobweb Email
Journal service is controlled by Cobweb’s ISO27001 Information
Security Management policies and procedures.
The security features of the Active
Directory within Microsoft Windows Server and Exchange Server, and
the security model of Autonomy ZANTAZ EAS, ensure that customer
mailboxes are in their own unique segment of the service. No other
customer has permissions or can see or access any other customer’s
data.
Our state-of-the-art data centres are
managed on a 24*7 basis by dedicated teams to ensure security,
maximum reliability, system redundancy and high fault
tolerance.
Network security at the data centre is
fronted by multiple resilient firewalls. Security procedures
involve constant monitoring of network traffic, router loading and
application behaviour.
Platform
The Cobweb Email Journal solution is
based on Autonomy ZANTAZ’s EAS solution and is designed to support
tens of thousands of users. It consists of load-balanced Microsoft
Windows Servers, clustered Microsoft SQL Servers and Microsoft
Exchange Servers on HP hardware accessing data from resilient
storage.
